Abstract

The central goal of this work is to understand how global behavior in dynamic networks emerges from the interplay between the network's connectivity profile and the node-wise dynamics. We explore this direction with a novel modeling approach, in which we equip each of the network nodes with discrete quadratic dynamics in the complex plane, and we study the emerging behavior of the resulting complex quadratic network (CQN) by means of the topology of its asymptotic fractal sets.
